Privacy policy

Calgrid is a Google Workspace™ add-on that keeps a Google Sheets™ spreadsheet and a Google Calendar™ calendar in sync. This policy explains what data Calgrid accesses, why, and what happens to it. Questions: support@calgrid.app.
What Calgrid accesses and why
- The spreadsheet you use Calgrid in (scope
spreadsheets.currentonly): to read the rows you want to sync, write events into rows, and keep a small hidden sheet with the sync state (which row belongs to which event). Calgrid cannot open your other spreadsheets. - Your calendar events (scope
calendar.events): to create, update and delete the events that correspond to your rows, and to read changes made in the calendar so the sheet can be updated. - Your list of calendars (scope
calendar.calendarlist.readonly): so you can choose which calendar to sync with. - Background runs (scope
script.scriptapp) and the add-on panel (scopescript.container.ui): to sync automatically when the sheet or calendar changes, and to show Calgrid's sidebar.
Where your data goes
Calgrid runs on Google Apps Script inside your own Google account. Your spreadsheet content and calendar events move only between your spreadsheet and your calendar, through Google's own services. Calgrid does not send your spreadsheet or calendar data to our servers or to anyone else, and we do not store, sell, rent or share it. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train artificial-intelligence models.
If you buy a paid plan, our payment provider (Dodo Payments, acting as merchant of record) processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. To unlock paid features, Calgrid checks your license using your email address or license key only.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Calgrid's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Keeping and deleting data
The only thing Calgrid keeps is the sync state inside your own spreadsheet (the hidden "_calgrid" sheet and a hidden ID column). You can delete them at any time. Uninstalling Calgrid stops all access; you can also remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Security
All data stays within Google's infrastructure and is protected by Google's security. Calgrid requests only the permissions it needs to work.
Children
Calgrid is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the add-on.
